The First Chapter.
It all started on a road trip. Somewhere between New York & Miami, we fell in love with pancakes - and the idea of creating our own place that felt like home, no matter where you were. Our pipe dream turned into reality when opened The Pancake Kitchen in Adelaide, 1965. A cosy spot where people could relax, connect and eat pancakes. Simple!
Here & Now.
1969 saw the move to Melbourne, where we officially opened The Pancake Parlour! We wanted to capture the essence of the city we loved, mixing the vibrant energy of our community with three simple ingredients - good food, good company, and a whole lot of heart. We now flip pancakes at 13 special spots across the city.
Our Food.
We started out with no menu. A humble stack, strawberries and maple syrup. We’d ask, "How’d you like your pancakes?" and let that guide us. Fast forward to 2024, and our menu has grown a bit. From sweet stacks with Nutella and fresh fruit, to savoury and breakfast treats. Same great vibe, just more ways to enjoy our pancakes.
